MANKATO, Minn.--Mar. 12, 2007--HickoryTech’s Information Solutions division announced that it has been named a finalist by TeleStrategies, publisher of Billing & OSS World Today magazine, for the 2007 Excellence Awards in the category of Customer Success. Award winners in each of five categories will be announced in Chicago on April 25 at the Billing & OSS World Conference and Exhibition. HickoryTech, a telecom provider of customer management and billing software for over forty years, will demonstrate its SuiteSolution® software in Booth #416 at the conference on April 25-26.
HickoryTech competes with four finalists for recognition in outstanding industry achievement for its wireline integration project for Canada’s largest independent telecommunications company, TBayTel. Billing & OSS World editors evaluate the finalists and select a winner based on measurable benefits to the customer, credibility, and degree of difficulty involved in implementing the solution. Over 40 leading billing and software companies nationwide were evaluated for the TeleStrategies 2007 Excellence Awards.

The resulting project eliminated 60 percent of customer data entry duplication, created a unified customer management system across product lines, and automated service appointment scheduling and activation processes. These milestones resulted in important efficiencies and costs savings for the customer.
